Who we are

Articulator is an AI-assisted article writing studio. We interview you about your real-world experience and turn your answers into structured, audited articles ready for publication. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

Information we collect

  • Account details. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account.
  • Your article content. Topics, keywords, interview answers (typed or dictated), generated drafts, edits, audit results and published articles.
  • Dictation. Voice input is converted to text so it can be used as source material. Audio is processed for transcription and is not stored as a permanent recording.
  • Payment data. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details; we receive the payment status and what it entitles you to (credits, plan, trial).
  • Technical data. Standard logs such as request times and error reports, used to keep the service working and to debug problems.

How we use your information

  • To operate the service: drafting, auditing, editing, saving and publishing your articles.
  • To manage your account, credits, subscriptions and payment status.
  • To send service emails, such as sign-in links, password resets and receipts.
  • To detect abuse, prevent fraud and keep the platform secure.
  • To understand how features are used so we can improve them, using aggregate figures rather than reading your articles.

AI processing

Drafting, editing and auditing are performed by AI models. Your topics, interview answers and article text are sent to our AI provider for processing, and we do not use your content to train those models. If you connect your own Google AI (Gemini) API key, generation requests are made under your key and are governed by your agreement with Google; only the minimum text needed for the task is sent.

Payments

Credit purchases, subscriptions and trials are handled by Stripe as our payment processor. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are subject to Stripe's own privacy policy. We store only what is needed to reconcile your account: payment status, amounts and dates.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the providers needed to run the service — our hosting and database provider, our payment processor, our email delivery provider and the AI provider described above — or where the law requires it.

Storage, security and retention

Your data is stored in a managed cloud database protected by row-level security, so your articles are visible only to your account. Access on our side is restricted and logged. We keep your account and article data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data and article content, except where we must keep records for accounting or legal reasons.

Cookies and local storage

We keep your sign-in session, your light/dark theme preference and a short-lived note of where you were heading before signing in, all in your browser. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Children

Articulator is not directed at children, and you must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If we learn that an account belongs to someone younger, we will close it and delete the associated data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Significant changes will be announced in the app or by email. The date at the top of this page always shows the latest version.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or any request about your data, can be sent to us through the in-app support options, and we will help you from there.
